About OtaArchive
OtaArchive is an independent price database for Ichiban Kuji Dragon Ball prizes. It records what every prize is going for on the international aftermarket, one weekly snapshot at a time, so a collector can see a price history instead of whatever a single listing happens to ask today.
The database currently covers 22 series and 219 prizes, of which 136 have a market value drawn from enough listings to rank (the confidence rules are below). Price snapshots run from 2026-07-14 to 2026-09-07 (10 in total). Those published values rest on 2,898 listings between them, and 173 prizes have a photograph.
How market values are calculated
- Listings are collected from the public eBay API once a week, on a fixed schedule.
- Each listing is matched to a specific prize by a strict rule-based matcher — the prize rank, the series, and the character all have to line up. Titles that could belong to two different series are rejected rather than guessed at.
- Median, minimum and maximum are computed across the matched listings for that week. The median is what the site shows as the market value; averages are too easily dragged around by one absurd listing.
- Yen figures are converted at the exchange rate on the day of the snapshot, so the premium over the original ticket price is computed against the rate that actually applied.
Nothing is entered by hand and there are no user submissions. A typical prize on this site trades at roughly 16× its original ticket price, but that figure is an outcome of the data rather than a target.
Confidence, and why some prizes have no price
Every price carries a confidence label based on how many listings it was computed from:

Some prizes have no price at all. That is deliberate. Certain series — the EX line in particular — are listed overseas under titles so abbreviated that even a human collector cannot tell which of three releases a figure belongs to. Where a listing cannot be attributed with confidence, it is dropped. Coverage is traded away for accuracy every time, because a wrong price is worse than a missing one.
What this data is not
- These are asking prices, not completed sales. The figures come from active listings, which run somewhat above what items finally change hands for.
- It is not investment advice. Prize figures are collectibles with thin, volatile markets.
- It is a snapshot series, not a live feed. Prices update weekly, and the date of the reading is printed on every page that uses it.
Photographs
Product photographs come from marketplace listings via the Rakuten Ichiba API. No official promotional artwork or illustration is used anywhere on this site — the Dragon Ball artwork itself belongs to its rights holders, so the only images here are photographs of the physical products. Prizes without a sourced photo get a generated placeholder instead.
